Organising Chairman Message

Speech Addressed by the Organising Chairman at 12th Asia-Pacific Arthroplasty Society Annual Meeting

Dear Friends,

Asia Pacific Arthroplasty Society (APAS) and Delhi Orthopaedic Association (DOA) welcome you to India and New Delhi.

At the time of your visit to this beautiful city, there will be a huge buzz and excitement in connection with the Commonwealth Games, to be held a fortnight later. We expect to present a reformed Delhi to you all.

Our founding President Dr. W. K. Chung has in his message outlined the distinguished foreign faculty. I may add that, to spice things up, the best of talent from India and the Asia Pacific region is expected to deliberate.

Dr. Chung had a vision and today it has blossomed to put the arthroplasty surgeons of Asia Pacific together on a platform. We share common problems and can realise the difficulties our colleagues face, which may not be exactly what one reads in the texts. Dr. Chung has thus done a yeoman service to our community.

In addition, APAS takes us to different cultures to appreciate and respect each other for our way of going about our business. We expect to lay out an interesting academic agenda with Dr. Chung and the Delhi Orthopaedic Association.

I take this opportunity to invite you all in numbers to strengthen the APAS and make the Delhi meeting an event to recollect.
